Pupils struggle to get to school

Pupils attending Coronation School have to cross a stream every day.

They feel something needs to be done to help them. While other residents of Extension 4 use stones, some use a long pipe to cross the stream. The pipe is not wide enough and is slippery at times according to the pupils.

“We have no choice since this is a shortcut to the new school, otherwise we have to use a long road. It is quite scary using the pipe between tall reeds because you have to maintain your balance, missing a step can mean falling into the stream,” one of the pupil said.
The children who cross the stream using stones said they have to walk in groups as it is not safe walking alone.

Even though the path is used by many people, at times it became quiet, especially when one is late for school.
