I can not stop to be surprised with things happening in our city. Do you recognise some of these posters???

Residents reported suspicious activities at an old sub station building in Witbank extension 10.  On investigation it was found that three homeless people are staying in this substation at night and that they are sleeping on a bed of posters who over years have been stored there by unknown (at this stage) people.

What make this remarkable is not only the volume of posters (at least 6 x 2 ton trucks (the photo is show the substation after two truck loads have already been removed) but also the age of these posters.

The oldest one I saw was dated 2002 and an interesting one is the one of the late Eugene Terreblance for a function in Middelburg (date unknown).  Zita had a ball looking at all these posters.

After cleaning up this place we will be demolishing the building as it is no longer used and the land will be placed on tender for sale.

Note: items found in the substation as well as reports from the area suggest the people who stayed there were not totally the best neighbours to have around. They took flight and I cannot say where they are at present. Our social services will support them once found, if they want to be found….
