Witbank SAPS arrested 86 criminals the past week

The Witbank police have been working around the clock in the past week ensuring that the streets are safe from vandals of all crimes.

The SAPS vowed ‘To Serve and to Protect’ and that is the motto that drives them each day.

The detained were arrested for the following crimes; 19 were held for shoplifting, eight just committed general theft, five were found to be in the possession of drugs whilst seven were driving under the influence. 18 were arrested for assault and violating a protection order, seven were in possession of suspected stolen property and two were arrested for breaking into businesses.

One was caught for house breaking and theft, another for reckless and negligent driving, another for attempted car hi-jacking. Four suspects were arrested for rape, use of owner’s vehicle without consent, possession of an unlicensed fire-arm and public drinking and resisting arrest. A further six suspects were arrested, three for common robbery and three for trespassing.
