Sector 2 CPF voice opinion about drugs

There was lively conversation during a weekly meeting held by Sector 2 Community Policing Forum (CPF) Blancheville and Die Heuwel 1.

The heated topic was drugs and members of CPF voiced their concern about increasing dealing in this illegal substance in their area.

Just after WITBANK NEWS and SAPS’s ‘No to drugs’ campaign was concluded, members of CPF shared a lot of information with members of the Crime Intelligence Gathering (CIG) component of the SAPS.

Capt Francois Roets said having CPF as their eyes and ears is making their task so much easier.

“We need all the information from the ground, be it information about number plates, time and places where regular deals are taking place and suspicious behaviour. All of these can be used in the war against drugs,” Capt Roets said.

Mr Johan Zwart, chairman of the sub-sector undertook to work closely with the SAPS to make this sector a safer and drug free area.
The CPF Sub Sector meets a18:00 every Monday at the NG Church in Adela Street.
