Arrested for dealing

Witbank SAPS is making weekly arrests that stop dealers from providing buyers with their daily dose.

In Paxton Prison an inmate was charged with possession of drugs. On Sunday morning, June 29 a guard was on duty at the holding cells and the prison.

The Correctional Services officer was apparently conducting a routine search when he found one of the prisoners in possession of dagga. A case was opened at Witbank SAPS.

Another arrest was made at midnight on June 27. The officer, who was on duty that night, received information about a suspected drug dealer living at an informal settlement near Lynnville.

The officer searched the small house and found dagga in pouches inside a black bag on one of the tables.
The owner of the house was arrested and charged with dealing in dagga.

Witbank SAPS has a zero tolerance policy toward drug related crimes. Please report any crime by calling them on 013 655 5000.
