ATM bombed in Ga-Nala

Several shots were exchanged between armed robbers and security guards after two ATMs were bombed at a local filling station in Ga-Nala.

On Friday June 20, at around midnight, seven armed robbers allegedly attacked unsuspecting petrol attendants.

The employees were allegedly threatened at gunpoint to open the shop, inside which stood the two ATMs.

An alarm was activated and security responded quickly. When they arrived on scene, however, the robbers opened fire.

The robbers made quick work of bombing the two ATMs and fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of cash.

No one was injured during the shootout.
