Young girl helping others in need
One young model was given 15 evening dresses by an older woman. As Belinda Pretorius is only nine years old, the dresses are too big for her, and she has decided to help other girls in need.
Belinda is currently in Laerskool Taalfees and she started modelling last year September. Since then she has joined Elite Catwalk Models where she does all her training and has also joined Model Club where the girls realize that it’s not only about their looks.
Belinda has taken part in seven competitions and has managed to get a few places.
Model Club is where models get to learn to help other people in need and also help charities.
Belinda and her mother, Talita, sat among all the evening dresses and together they decided how they were going to help other girls look beautiful for their matric farewell.
Gathering the dresses and asking for other donations, Belinda has managed to get everything to make the girls’ dreams come true.
Their make-up, hair and photography will be done and another concern has also given a few dresses to this project.
So what Belinda needs now is 20 girls to write a motivational letter why you need this dress and email it to her mother at tpret75@mobileemail.vodafone.sa.co.za. Then from all the letters 20 girls will be chosen.
“I am excited about this project and I can’t wait to start helping girls who are in need of a dress,” said Belinda.
So if you know your matric farewell is around the corner and you can’t afford a dress, start writing those letters.
“I would like to thank all the people who have given donations to help girls less fortunate, and I can’t wait to see how the girls will look at the end of their make-over,” said Belinda.
There are a lot of dresses to choose from and there is a dress for any type of girl.
