Her only income source was taken overnight

A woman’s only source of income, her food stand, was hitched at dusk and stolen.

On July 2, Ms Nozibele Kala had finished selling meals for the day, locked up all her items in the trailer and went home for the evening.
At about 18:45 a Ford Ranger double cab bakkie drove up to the trailer.

Two men exited the bakkie and hooked the trailer up to it. They then got into the bakkie and drove off as a nearby security guard approached them.

Kala arrived the following morning to open up shop and saw her trailer had been stolen. She approached a security guard who explained to her that it had been stolen the previous night by two men in a bakkie. He had taken a note of the registration number of the vehicle.

“They took all my stock and my equipment I used to make bunny chows and food plates, it’s my only income and now it’s gone,” said Kala.
