Let’s fight cancer together

After almost a year of absence the CANSA Relay For Life is back, bigger and better than ever.

eMalahleni, it’s now your time to shine. Enter the 2014 Relay and let’s fight cancer one step at a time.
What is Relay For Life?

Relay For Life is a unique event that offers everyone in your community the opportunity to participate in the fight against cancer. It represents the ‘hope’ that all of those lost to cancer will never be forgotten; that those who are fighting cancer will be supported and that one day cancer will be eliminated.

Relay For Life embraces entire communities, from the very young to the old. Teams raise funds before and during the Relay and these funds are dedicated to funding CANSA’s unique, integrated service within the community.

Corporate companies, businesses, support groups, schools, families, friends and anyone else can enter a team and support this worthy cause.
Relay For Life teams (10 to 15 members) take turns to walk or run around a track for 12 hours. The goal is to keep one team member on the track at all times (as cancer never sleeps).

Participants enjoy camping-out, entertainment, good food, games and community camaraderie. They all share a common purpose – their desire to help CANSA fight cancer and to support those affected by it.

CANSA Relay For Life eMalahleni/Witbank will be taking place on September 27, starting at 18:00 to September 28, ending at 06:00.
Cost is R1 000 per team.

Great entertainment is lined up for the day, including a Miss and Mrs Relay for Life competition. There will be lots of lucky draws and free give-away prizes and sponsored laps.
