Despite the cold and the wind, Hoërskool Generaal Hertzog’s Grade 10 Business Studies learners held their annual market day. After weeks of planning, it finally ended in a well-organised day on August 29 when the learners had a chance to practise the tricks of the trade.
Kiosks like ‘Die Soek Hoekie’, ‘Lip-Lek- Lekker’ en ‘Generaaltjie Basaar’ sold all kinds of eats and treats.
‘An Eastern Adventure’ and ‘Indian Delights’ served up some of the best samoosas, breyani and curry and rice dishes. For those who love ‘braaivleis’ and chips, ‘Value Meat’ and ‘Kasi Kos’ catered. ‘Pancake Paradise’, ‘Sweet City’, ‘Palatable Platters’ en ‘Ouma se Kombuis’ provided treats for those with a sweet tooth.
There was something for everyone, not just the hungry and peckish.
‘Crazy Pics’ and the ‘Golf Arcade’ offered fun activities and ‘A fun store’ had a variety of beautiful items for the whole family.
HGH would like to thank you to all the Grade 10 Business Study learners, and their supportive parents and enthusiastic teachers, as well as Lombard and Elsa de Bruyn for all the hard work to make the day such a great success.
