Man killed crossing highway on wheelchair
Yet another pedestrian was killed on the N4 highway towards eMalahleni, but this pedestrian was crossing the highway in a wheelchair.
When motorist and emergency response stopped on Friday night, May 1 on the N4 highway they were shocked at the scene.
For many it’s the first time that they saw that a pedestrian was killed after being hit off his wheelchair.
The wheelchair lay in the middle of the road and the vehicle that collided with it stopped a few metres from the scene.
Once emergency services arrived on scene they declared the pedestrian dead who at the time lay in the island.
Mpumalanga Pathology services arrived on scene, the body was picked up and taken away.
