Home Affairs extended hours end tomorrow

Learners have a final opportunity to apply for or collect Smart ID cards during late afternoon office hours.

Parents, guardians and learners have just one day left to make use of extended operating hours at the Department of Home Affairs offices nationwide.

The department extended its daily operating hours during the school holidays by two hours to 18:00. The initiative, which began on September 28, concludes tomorrow, October 6.

“Parents and guardians are encouraged to bring learners to Home Affairs offices nationwide during the extended operating hours to apply for or collect Smart Cards,” the department said.
