Five more arrests for drugs

Every week Witbank SAPS are arresting people who have illegal substances in their possession and they are removed off the streets.

On Friday, May 29 at 10:00 a police officer was on duty, busy patrolling the area near a petrol station in Klipfontein.
The officer noticed a black Volkswagen Golf which had three occupants and was parked.
Police officers approached the vehicle and requested to search the car and the occupants.

Between one of the occupant’s legs, the police officer found a blue liquid and the suspect said it was mercury.
Two of the occupants were arrested and taken to Witbank SAPS for questioning.
It then came out that they were waiting for a customer to fetch the mercury.
On Wednesday, May 27 at 16:00 as the police were patrolling eMalahleni they noticed a suspect in the road.
They stopped the person and he was searched, in his possession they found drugs. He was arrested for possession of illegal substances.

Early that week on Tuesday, May 26 at 13:30 a suspect was arrested for illegal possession of drugs when he was caught by police officers in Jellicoe Street.
On the same day at 08:00 when police officers were patrolling around the Central Business District (CBD) they stopped a person in the streets and searched him.

The police found dagga in his possession and he was placed under arrested.
