Witbank SAPS recover a stolen generator

Constable MJ Nkuna and Cst JA Radebe may be working at Witbank Magistrate’s Court performing court duties, but when they are transporting prisoners, their eyes are fixed on the ground looking for suspicious vehicles and suspects.

On Monday, June 1 at approximately 08:00 they were on their way to court when they saw a suspect standing at the corner of Jellicoe and Beatty streets and he had a generator in his possession. When the suspect was questioned about the generator, he ran away but was chased by the police and then arrested.

The suspect was taken to Witbank Police Station where he was charged for being in possession of stolen goods. On questioning he admitted to stealing the generator at a house nearby.

He appeared in Witbank Magistrate’s Court on June 8.
