Sewerage problem at Vosman

Some residents of Vosman have had enough of smelly sewerage flowing through their houses

Some residents of Vosman have had enough of smelly sewerage flowing through their houses for a long time.
The residents claim that the sewerage has been overflowing from one of the houses in June and they reported it several times at the municipality. They claim that they were promised that they will come and fix it but it has never happened.

“We are concerned and worried because our children are now playing in the dirty, smelly water. We are concerned about our health and that of our families. This has been going on for a long time. We cannot sit outside because of the smelly water and we cannot even open our windows because of the smell,” said one of the residents.

The water is flowing from one of the houses in Vosman Extension 17 and down into other houses down the area. Some residents have opened furrows to let the water flow through.
Attempts to contact the ward councillor was futile as his phone was on voice message.
