Leaving the bags behind

The rubbish keeps piling up just like the lack of service delivery

A resident in Toerien Steet has been watching their rubbish pile up for three weeks without being collected once. The same problem has also apparently been happening in Extension 41 and Extension 18.

“This is what it looked like after this week,” said the disgruntled resident. “I wonder if today the third week it will be gone. The dogs are having a feast.” He said in an email to the WITBANK NEWS on September 15.

Apparently the municipality has told the resident that the fleet of trucks being used is not running at full capacity as many of them are in for repairs and maintenance.

The municipality has been contacted for an update response on the matter.
