Three suspects were arrested for possession of dagga and vehicle burgling implements found in their vehicle.
On July 22 the CPF (Community Policing Forum) received information about a suspicious gold Jaguar doing its rounds in Steve Bantu Biko Street.
After seeing this car for a while in the mentioned area the CPF took action, stopped and searched the vehicle. With no surprise they came upon a card jamming device and dagga already rolled and hidden in a folded newspaper, Mrs Madelon Troskie from the CPF announced on social media.
It is alleged that just the day before the arrests a lady’s laptop was stolen from her locked vehicle and surprisingly the same golden Jaguar was spotted on that day,
“The police arrested the three suspects on the spot but one of the thugs got out and ran away.” Troksie said.
It was further alleged that the two remaining suspects was taken to the Witbank Police Station and two separated cases were supposed to be opened.

The CPF (Community Policing Forum) part with the SAPS arresting men in connection with car burgling implements and dagga found in the vehicle on July 22.
After the police struggled to get hold of the case of the possession of drugs against the two suspects it was said by the spokes person, Sgt David Ratau that no drugs were handed in at the SAP 13 storeroom on that specific day. Two weeks of investigation went by and still no trace of the drug docket was found.
It is said that the dagga was in the vehicle when the police took the car to the police station. Troskie also alleged that the suspects could have been drug dealers because of the dagga that has been rolled into what they call a “joint”.
The vehicle’s registration was tested and showed that it was not a stolen motor vehicle but the ignition was out and the vehicle could only start with ‘hot wiring.’
Spokes person, Cpt Eddie Hall confessed that the dagga is still missing but the matter is being investigated.
