Round pegs do not fit in square hole

The spokesperson for the municipality, Mr Lebo Mofokeng was contacted for a second week in a row regarding the issue, yet no response has been received.

The issues in Tasbet Park and Klipfontein where potholes were being repaired when workers squared them out and cleaned them to patch the holes up has seen some development since the article appeared in last week’s edition of WITBANK NEWS.

Initially the community was hopeful about the repairs but after more than a month work seems to have stalled and the squared off hole have just made the potholes wider and deeper.

A few roads in the area have been fully repaired since last week but the majority still stands bare to the elements.
Four weeks later and corrosion is worse than ever as any work that was done to clean the potholes in preparation for the tar has been undone by the weather.

The squared out potholes have are growing larger with each passing day

Some roads where the holes were just an annoyance has become dangerous and even made some roads un-drivable for smaller vehicles.

The spokesperson for the municipality, Mr Lebo Mofokeng was contacted for a second week in a row regarding the issue, yet no response has been received.
