The majority were in and out at eMalahleni voting stations
Over 300 readers stated that they were in and out quickly at voting stations in eMalahleni.
The majority of voters in eMalahleni reported that casting a ballot was a smooth and efficient process.
Several voting stations earned high praise for helpful and friendly IEC officials. Multiple voters reported walking straight in at the WH de Klerk School voting station, receiving their ballot papers, and leaving within two to 10 minutes.
Voters described the process at the Panorama voting station as seamless, reporting no waiting time and complimenting the clean, attractive grounds at the school.
Residents Zodwa Mkhwanazi, Monique Campbell, Veruschka Pretorius, and Helen Williams also reported swift turnarounds.
Smooth processes were similarly highlighted at Reyno Rif Primary School, Greendale School, Duvha Park Primary, Klarinet Ext 7, and Mabande voting stations.
While many breezed through the voting process, some experienced delays due to technical issues, queue bottlenecks, and hot weather. Voters Quintin Stoltz and Jaco Vermaak said standing in the queue felt like hours, though they attributed much of the discomfort to the heat.
However, the experience was not seamless everywhere. Letta Malefetsa reported standing in line for six hours at the Dunbar Primary School voting station, while in Siyanqoba, Rose Mabena reported waiting in the queue for five hours.
