Two men were sent to prison for 30 and 40 years respectively after being found guilty on two counts of robbery with aggravating circumstances.

Abdul Kadrey and Jospeh Ndlovu appeared at the Witbank Magistrate Court on Thursday, October 6. Ms Marlene Greyvenstern with the assistance of the public prosecutor Mr Francois Brandt sent the men behind bars for the crimes they committed in April and May 2014.

Kadrey was sentenced to 30 years in prison with 15 years each on the two counts and Ndlovu was sentenced to 40 years in prison with 20 years each for the two counts.

Ndlovu’s sentence is longer because he has a previous conviction of robbery with aggravating circumstances. On the day of the sentencing they were both declared unfit to possess firearms.

The sentences are set not to run concurrently.
