A tree was the point of argument that led to a man’s death; this comes after he was shot whilst intervening in a fight. The tragedy happened on Friday, October 29 around 19:30 at Old Coronation.
According to a police report, police tended to a radio call where a body was found lying on the ground. The report stated that according to a witness, there was a fight between the suspect and a man who is a tree cutter.
The deceased then tried to intervene and stop the fight between the two but that did not end well. After the suspect fired three shots, the suspect ran away Two shots hit the ground and one hit the victim in his chest that led to his death. An ambulance service declared him dead on the scene.
The suspect has been arrested and charged with murder; gun used on scene was a legal firearm.
The deceased has not been identified yet.
