A man is seeking answers from the municipality after he alleged that it has been years since he had this problem on his shoulders. He lives in a house situated at Kiepersol Avenue at Tasbet Park where his drain started overflowing with water.

He mentions that he is not certain whether this problem started on Monday evening, November 21 or
Tuesday early morning, November 22 because when he woke up he was met with the flowing water.

The drain that has water overflowing. The owner of a house situated at Kiepersol Avenue is not sure as to when it started flowing between Monday evening, November 21 and Tuesday early morning, November 22.

Water in which one can use to do their laundry, the man alleges that the town council is well aware of this problem as he has contacted them numerous times. But the main problem is that the municipality does not look for permanent solutions rather temporarily ones. The drain gets fixed today but later the same problem arises again.
He calls for the council to prioritise the issue.

β€œIt is currently not raining so imagine if it were to heavily rain. What is going to happen? The water would come to my yard.”

He claims he is not the only one with this problem as his neighbour is also having the same headache.

β€œI have two main concerns which are for the municipality to unblock their pipes and clean their drains. That could perhaps solve the problem.”

The municipality did not reply by the time of going to press.
