Three suspects were arrested on the same day, after they were found with drugs in their possession.
On Monday, December 5 police arrested three suspects while they were patrolling the Central Business District (CBD). One suspect was arrested around 18:40, at the long distance taxi rank when officers asked to search the suspect. He allegedly had a white paper in his hands with a plant and he told officers that it is dagga, to the value of R500.
At around 18:50 on the same day, another suspect was arrested at the same place. Upon police search, they also found a transparent plastic bag, with dagga to the value of R150.
At around 19:30, another suspect was arrested at the long distance taxi rank when a male walked toward a nearby take-away shop. Police said that the suspect looked scared when he agreed for police to search him. They found a black plastic bag in his possession and it also contained dagga to the value of R500.
All three suspects were taken into custody.
