A truck was hijacked by two suspects as it was delivering bread at a tuck shop.
The incident took pace on Wednesday, December 28 where according to a police report the 32-year-old man, the driver of the blue Isuzu truck stopped at shop to deliver loaves of bread.
He was in Extension 3 in Tasbet Park together with his colleague when this incident happened. Around 09:00 the man with the assistance of his colleague started offloading the loaves of bread and as they were busy two suspects approached them. It is alleged that the suspects had guns in their possession.
The two men were ordered by suspects to get in the back of the vehicle and they drove off with them. In their statement to police they claim they were later dropped off next to a road and the suspects took the vehicle and drove off with it.
It is alleged that the 32-year-old’s cell phone was stolen as a result he could not be reached for comment. A case of truck hijacking was opened at the Witbank Police Station.
