A total robbery in sports store

Totalsports in the Shoprite Centre was robbed by five assailants.

Totalsports in the Highland Mews Shopping Centre was robbed by five assailants.

On January 9, employees at the business were told to keep to the floor as robbers took clothing and their cellular phones.

Just after midday five suspects entered the business, three of them were carrying bags, one remained at the door and told one of the employees to cooperate. The first suspect made his way to the store room while the other three filled the bags with clothing items.

Once the bags were filled the suspects made their way to the front of the shop again and threatened the employees to remain on the floor lying face down or they would be shot.

The five suspects then fled the store leaving the employees unharmed.

Ms Shelly Mashilwane, manager at the business, said that Totalsports could not comment on the robbery that had taken place.
