A foreign shop owner has reported to the police that his car was hijacked while he was delivering goods at a shop.

A foreign shop owner has reported to the police that his car was hijacked while he was delivering goods at a shop.

The complainant Mr Abebe Mbaboro (39) of Hlalanikahle Extension 2 and originally from Somalia reported to the police that his red Toyota Corolla registration CCH 830 MP worth about R40 000 was hijacked. The car was hijacked at gun point outside of his shop in Hlalanikahle.

Mbaboro alleged that he was driving his vehicle to his brother’s shop to deliver some stock and while delivering the goods, two unknown suspects approached him pointed him with a fire-arm and demanded his car keys. He told them that his brother has the keys.One of the suspects went inside the shop and two shots were fired outside.

The suspect who went inside came out and told the other that they must go as he had found the car keys and they drove off with the Toyota.

No arrests has been made and police are investigating a case of hijacking.
Police are also investigationg a case of business robbery and attempted murder.

They reported that at Marikana in KwGuqa Estension 12, on Saturday, February 18, a complainant Mr Antonie Mike Makule (18) a mozambican reported that a ten year-old child Armando Mogaile was shot in the stomach while sitting outside the tarven when robbers robbed the tarven.

It was said an unknown suspect took out a firearm and fired one shot towards the house. People started to run in different directions and the suspect went inside the tarven taking R3 000 in cash and left the scene.

The child was taken to hospital and he was operated on.
No arrests has yet been made.
