Crashed into the back of a truck

The driver of the BMW was trapped inside the vehicle; fire fighters used the Jaws-of-Life to cut the driver out.

A man was seriously injured after he crashed his vehicle into the back of a tanker in Watermeyer Street.

The accident happened on Saturday morning, March 18 at 00:50 when a white BMW travelling from Klipfontein area towards Tasbet Park crashed into the back of a tanker.

It’s alleged that the tanker was parked next to the road when the driver of the BMW collided into the back whilst travelling.

Estie Biela paramedic from ER24 busy making sure that the patient was breathing properly after he was intubated.

The driver of the BMW was trapped inside the vehicle; fire fighters used the Jaws-of-Life to cut the driver out.

After he had been cut out of his vehicle, Estie Biela, paramedic from ER24, sat in the back of the car and stabilized him.

Once he was out of the vehicle, Biela intubated him and he was then transported to Life Cosmos Hospital where he was stabilized.

After he was stabilized he was transferred to Milpark Hospital where he is currently being treated.
