
Four vehicle thefts were reported last week, one of which, the perpetrators rolled the vehicle while travelling through Germiston.
On March 25 thieves broke into a workshop and stole a brown Peugot and headed off to Germiston with the car.
“It was the customer’s car that was stolen outside the business and I opened a case on his behalf,” said Mr Abraham Hlongwe.
He added that the vehicle was recovered in Germiston where the thieves rolled it. The vehicle was valued at R35 000.
On March 26 a Toyota Corolla was stolen in Old Coronation. Its owner recalled locking the vehicle the previous night only to return that morning to find the car stolen.
That same day a navy blue Nissan Skyline was stolen in Mandela Street between the hours of 09:00 and 12:00, the vehicle was valued at R45 000. On March 23 in Klarinet Extension 8 a woman awoke only to find her front yard gate was wide open and her Chevrolet Spark stolen.
