A 47-year-old suspect was brought to the police station after he was suspected of being involved in a murder.
Community members of Vosman brought the suspect to the police accusing him of murder. They told the police that the suspect had pointed out the body of Mirriam Mphureng (35) at Kromdraai bush. The victim was found dead with marks on her neck and was bleeding from her nose. The incident happened on Wednesday, April 12 at about 21:00.
Allegedly, the victim visited her boyfriend at his place. They went to sleep and when she woke up she found her boyfriend’s brother busy raping her. She threatened to report both her boyfriend and brother to the police.
Mphureng was allegedly strangled to death by both brothers. They then took her into the suspect’s vehicle and dumped her body in the bush. Shortly afterwards the victim’s boyfriend hanged himself.
A suspect has been arrested.
