Police arrest suspect for suspected stolen diesel

On Wednesday, June 7 at about 13:00 at Klipfontein Farm, Constable Bhekuyise Phinias Ziqubu, Constable Sibusiso Mike Dlamini and Sergeant Cambell Mojalefa Manaka recovered two hundred and ten litres of stolen diesel inside a plastic tank.

The diesel was stored in ten x 25 litre containers full of stolen diesel and eight, 25 litre containers were empty.

Allegedly, Constable Bhekuyise Phinias Ziqubu, Constable Sibusiso Mike Dlamini and Sergeant Cambell Mojalefa Manaka received a tip off that there was a place at Klipfontein Farm selling stolen diesel and when they arrived there, they found a Mozambican man who admitted that he was selling the diesel. He then showed the police where he kept it and that he drains it from the trucks.

He was then arrested for possession of suspected stolen property (diesel) and detained at Phola SAPS.

The suspect appeared in Ogies Magistrates Court on Friday, June 9 and he was not granted bail, he appeared again on Wednesday, June 14 for formal bail application.
