“As residents of Emalahleni let us do everything possible to assist learners not to lose focus. Parents must closely monitor and support their children, and when there are signs that learners are not coping with the stress of examination help should be sought,” she advised.

Ntshalintshali expressed hope that learners in Emalahleni will improve on the percentage which was achieved by previous matriculants.

“It is through education that our children can improve the condition of their lives. All the best to all learners who are sitting for their examinations, and I hope that they will further their studies,” she said.

The office of the Executive Mayor offer bursaries and assistance to deserving learners who perform well but whose parents cannot afford it.
