Eskom is not switching off the electricity in Emalahelni Local Municipality this coming Monday.
“Due to a high number of submissions received from various stakeholders, Eskom has decided not to communicate its final decision on November 9 as indicated on the said notice. More time is needed to go through the submissions received before a decision can be made and communicated,” the electricity giant said.
The contemplated interruptions can only be averted once an acceptable agreement has been reached to settle the outstanding debt.
The final decision will be published before the end of November.
