The police reported that on Sunday, February 4 at about 00:30, the I&V Tavern in Hlalanikahle Extension 3 was robbed.

The cashier indicated to the police that during closing time at the tavern she was behind the counter while her mother was at the gate to lock it. While they were in the process of closing their place, a customer came to the counter and asked for a beer while she was busy serving another customer. Within seconds her mother was pushed into the tavern.

The cashier tried to see what was happening with her mother but the customer who just bought a beer ordered her to move to the back and he came behind the counter and asked her where they kept the money. She showed him the till. The other two unknown suspects who pushed her mother also came behind the counter. T

hey were in possession of firearms while one was guarding her and her mother, the other two suspects were taking items from the tavern and they left the place.

Items taken were: R5 000 in cash, two cell phones a Nokia and a Hisense and cigarettes. The value of the items taken is about R7 000.
No one has been arrested and police are looking for the three suspects and are investigating a case of business robbery.
