eMalahleni trio in court again

JP Smith, Maruis de Lange and Zané Steyn appeared in Klerksdorp Magistrate Court on February 15. The case was postponed for further investigation until March 8.

Steyn appeared on a separate drug related charge in Mosselbay on January 31, the case was postponed for further investigation until February 26.

An additional charge of theft was added to Smith and De Lange for the BMW motorcycle they allegedly stole in Highveld Park.


The motorcycles that were stolen from Klerksdorp in December 2017. Three eMalahleni residents were arrested on the charge.

The motorcycle was recovered by South African Community Crime Watch (SACCW) on January 20 as reported by WITBANK NEWS.

Smith and De Lange are still in police custody for the duration of the court proceedings after failing to make bail but Steyn was released on bail.
