On Sunday evening, February 11 three cows were stolen from a farmer in Rietfontein.


The stone walled kraal where the stolen cows were kept, after they were stolen on Sunday, February 11.

The cattle owner is Mr Neels van Dyk and the farm is located approximately five kilometres from where the cows were found.

When police went to Masakane Village community they found the cows in a stone kraal and the syndicate that was waiting for the buyer of the meat to collect the cows.

The back legs of two of the cows had been cut to prevent escape.
