Two brothers got robbed on the Old Ogies road just after they went looking for jobs at a nearby mine.

Two brothers got robbed on the Old Ogies road just after they went looking for jobs at a nearby mine.

It is alleged that on Tuesday, June 12, two brothers came to eMalahleni to hand in their CV’s at a local mine.

Allegedly they arrived in eMalahleni at 12:00 and handed in their CV’s shortly thereafter. It is believed that the men went to ask car guards for directions to a taxi rank so that they could get a lift back home.

The men were allegedly waiting for a lift when a silver Toyota stopped next to them and asked where they were going.

The man in the Toyota offered them a lift but when they reached into their pockets to get money, the suspect pulled out a firearm and demanded the money. He then took their money and drove off.

No arrests have yet been made and police are still investigating the case.
