Residents received double accounts and their payments are not reflecting on the new accounts.

What happened with our municipal accounts?
According to the municipality, they are furnishing residents with a 12th account, because they only sent out 11 accounts for the past financial year.
“The municipality has had a backlog on providing accounts since the implementation of Municipal Standard Chart of Accounts. In order to catch up and be in par in relation to municipal accounts we were compelled to issue two service accounts. After this process all our billing will be in accordance with municipal policy,” said Mr Kingdom Mabuza, municipal spokesperson.
