The situation in Phola is very bad today; it has escalated. At 05:30 this morning, plus/minus three thousand protesters blocked the N12 freeway and also the R545 road.
Currently the N12 Freeway is open and traffic is flowing slowly, but the R545 Road and all other routes entering the township are still closed.
