
Police have urged the public to make 100% sure of their facts, before distributing letters.
This follows after a letter was allegedly sent out by a local primary school, dated September 7 and since then the letter went viral.
The letter reads:
“The SAPS have warned us that child smugglers are paying an amount of R2000 to drug addicts who are used to kidnap learners from local schools. Please warn your children to walk in groups, await their transport within the school premises and avoid talking to strangers.”

Capt Eddie Hall, media spokesperson said that he is not aware of any incidents in our city and that a message only came from National, after an alleged case in Johannesburg.
“You have to look after your child and ensure their safety at all times, but no incidents of child kidnapping, child trafficking or any child being sold were reported in eMalahleni,” he said.
