Ben Coetzee sends greeting and love to everyone.
It has been eight weeks since the terrible accident on August 26 when he fell in a burning sinkhole.
Since the horrible ordeal he was transferred to different hospitals. He is now in Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital.
Six of his toes were amputated.
“At least I still have my feet,” he chuckled.

Coetzee and his friend, Mr Mario Victor was playing around with kites after he earlier finished a 30km bike ride.
Victor was standing on top of a heap of discarded coal as the wind was a bit stronger there and gave the kites significant lifts.
“As I made my way up to Mario, the ground suddenly gave way underneath me. It happened so quickly. I pushed myself out of the hole and rolled away. I can’t remember when I felt my legs were burning. I was engulfed in one wave of pain after the other.”
He sustained partial thickness burn wounds.
Emalahleni Local Municipality is still investigating who the ground where the incident happened belongs to.
