Drug dealers/users off our streets

Many arrests were made in an attempt to remove these bad influences from our streets. On Thursday, November 22, shortly before midnight officers searched a man and found drugs in his possession.

He had ‘rocks’ to the street value of approximately R1 300.

On November 21 a Nigerian citizen was stopped in the Central Business District (CBD) during a police patrol. He was asked for documentation to be in South Africa but he had none.

The man was searched and suspected drugs, wrapped in a brownish plastic bag was found in his possession.

On the same day another arrest was made when police received a call stating that a man was dealing in drugs in Van Deventer Street.

Police set out to the area and found a silwer Volkswagen Polo, and police asked to search the car.

They found a blue plastic bag with suspected drugs and arrested the driver with the passenger in the car. The street value is an estimated R100.

Another arrest was made on that day around 09:30 when a man was found with heroin in his possession. It has an approximate street value of R1 500.
