Witbank SAPS police officers arrested at least six suspects who were found with substances suspected to be drugs.
All the suspects were found with drugs that amount from R1 000 to R5 000.
Three of the suspects were arrested on Wednesday, July 24 between 08:00 in the morning and 16:00 in the afternoon, where two of them were caught in Walter Sisulu Street in the Central Business District (CBD).
The other one was caught in Van De Venter Street.
One suspect was arrested in French Street on Thursday, July 25 at around 05:00 in the morning.
The police went to one of the houses in the street and requested to search the man who they found in the house.
The man was found with drugs valued at R2 000 and was arrested.
The other two suspects were also caught in Van De Venter Street on Saturday, July 27 between 00:10 and 00:20 in the morning.
One of the suspects was seen jumping a wall by the police and they approached him.
They searched him and found substances suspected to be drugs wrapped in silver foil in his private part and arrested him.
The other one was seen exchanging something with another man and requested to search him.
The police found substances suspected to be drugs wrapped in a foil in his jacket and arrested him.
