New decade, new year, new Darren

He is fully awake, able to walk and talk and loves to smile and give hugs.

Darren Joseph, the 19-year-old matric student from HTS Witbank is doing much better.

Darren who was assaulted and hit over the head with a shock absorber in November 2019 is now in a rehabilitation centre in Johannesburg where he is receiving treatment after being in hospital for more than a month.

He has made a lot of progress since the violent attack took place.

He is fully awake, able to walk and talk and loves to smile and give hugs.

On a Facebook post his mother, Deniel Rabie said, “He is still fighting and all the doctors are confident that he will have a successful recovery. Though he suffered severe brain and head injuries as well as other injuries, they are impressed with his battle, strength and will to get better.”

The accused Johan Koekemoer will appear in court on January 15 again.
