Water is flooding the surface of eMalahleni

The heavens opened over eMalahleni this morning and within a few hours some of our roads were completely flooded.

Drivers were warned and urged to make use of alternative routes as some roads were completely covered with water.

Some of the affected roads are the R555 old Middelburg road just past Clear Water Estate, O.R Thambo road (devil’s turn), Seekoeiwater plots low water bridge, the entrance to Bankenveld Golfing Estate, the road beneath the bridge in eMalahleni CBD leading to the Old Ogies road and some streets in Die Heuwel.

The South African Community Crime Watch eMalaleni EMS/FD Volunteers as well as other emergency services are on standby to assist where ever needed.
