A hot discussion exploded during the council meeting yesterday.

The EFF accused the Chief Whip Cllr Conny Nkalitshana of recording during the council meeting, which is strictly prohibited.

In actual fact, it was not Cllr Nkalitshana’s phone that interrupted the meeting but one from the gallery.

Cllr Narita Naidu from the Democratic Alliance said they are going to put their questions in writing and want answers on this incident as soon as possible.

Other topics that were touched on were irregular expenditure, inaccurate service accounts, and water losses.
