Residents putting hands together – #iampraying successfully launched
Lewende Woord Witbank launched a prayer movement that started on October 31.

There is a quote in the Bible that states in Matthew 18:20:
“When two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them.”
Lewende Woord Witbank launched a prayer movement that started on October 31.

“The idea behind this movement will be to identify the problem areas or where we feel prayer is needed in eMalahleni and to physically go out to the streets and areas and pray. Now like never before, we have to pray! Complaining will not change anything. We have to unite and pray for our city and our country. Prayer moves mountains,” Pastor Nadine van Schalkwyk explained.
A group of people gathered in front of Witbank Police Station in prayer and worship for three hours.
“Thank you to everyone that made the sacrifice to attend to lift our police in prayer. This is only the beginning, we won’t stop! ‘Jesus in the streets’ will have significant meaning as we push forward with the #iampraying movement,” she further said.
An altar of prayer and worship has been erected at the station and when residents drive past the station they should remember that and pray for the men and women in blue.
The next area for the #iampraying movement will be in the Central Business District (CBD) of eMalahleni.
