Mambas slither their way to gold

They attended The All Stars Tournament which took place in Johannesburg over the weekend.

The Mpumalanga Mambas are an indoor hockey franchise owned by The Hockey Farm in eMalahleni.

Every year, they take part at the PSI (Pro Series Indoor) Nationals in December and play against the top teams from provinces across the country as well as teams from Namibia and Zimbabwe.

In preparation for PSI, they attended The All Stars Tournament which took place in Johannesburg over the weekend.

The franchises that took part were Gauteng Gryphons (Southerns), Quaggas (Eastern Gauteng) and the Mpumalanga Mambas.

At the Senior All Stars tournament, they won the following prizes:

u.16 Black Mamba girls – gold medal
u.16 Black Mamba boys – gold medal
u.14 Black Mambas boys – goalkeeper of the tournament – Benjamin Parsons
u.16 Black Mambas boys – goalkeeper of the tournament – Wihan Swanepoel
u.16 Black Mambas girls – player of the tournament – Nicola Meyer

At the Junior All Stars tournament, they won the following prizes:

u.12 Black Mamba boys – gold medal
u.12 Black Mamba boys – player of the tournament – Prince Moeng
