Empowering women at a pageant

It is about empowering women, helping women elaborate and recreate what it is that they can be or do.

Miss Unity South Africa is an initiative for women between the ages of 18-28. It is about empowering women, helping women elaborate and recreate what it is that they can be or do. It is a platform for women to unite. Portia Tolo is a 20-year-old young woman representing Mpumalanga at the Miss Unity South Africa semi-finalist 2020.

“ I believe I have stigmas to break with my imperfections and I know if I can take a stand the youth of today can have a better physical look”

Portia is currently studying towards a National Diploma in Human Resources Management at the Nkangala TveT College. She aspires to be further her career as a model and hopefully someday be recognized as part of the top South African black models.

“It has been a great and inspiring journey up to this point and handling the pressure by being optimistic and giving my campaigns my full attention and energy has brought me this far.”

You can vote for Portia by simply sending an SMS with the code “MUSA 37” to 33282. Voting is unlimited and only costs R1.50
