Women’s Month outreach helps elderly women who take care of their grandchildren

On August 19, the Luncheon Club in Overline held a special workshop for elderly women who take care of their grandchildren.

Child Welfare SA seeks to educate and empower women of all the communities this Women’s Month.

As a part of their outreach, auxiliary social workers of the organisation are holding workshops for women that want to bring change to the community and help others.

On August 19, the Luncheon Club in Overline held a special workshop for elderly women who take care of their grandchildren.

Other members of the community who wish to become legal foster parents also joined the workshop where they learnt various lessons.

The key topics that were discussed were budgeting; registering to be a legal guardian and giving their children support.
