You have until May 5 to renew your driver’s licence

Transport Minister Fikile Mbalula said no further extensions will be possible.

Transport Minister Fikile Mbalula says motorists who are yet to renew their expired driver’s licences have until next month to do so.

Motorists have until May 5 to renew their expired driving licence cards.

This is an additional 20 days over the previous extension to April 5.

“We continue to urge those whose driving licence cards expired between 26 March 2020 and 31 August 2021 to renew their licences. The end of the state of disaster means we can no longer issue directions that further extend the grace period,” Mbalula said.

Witbank main licence office in Van Riebeeck Street is open on Mondays to Fridays from 07:30 to 15:00.

On Saturdays their doors open at 07:30 and they are open until 11:30.
